Intermec Radio Frequency System

Intermec

Intermec 9181 900 MHz Base Station Transceiver
The 9181 transceiver performs all of the netuency functions to communicate between a 9180 or Model 200 RF controller and portable 900 MHz RF units. It accepts addressed data packets sent to it from these controllers located up to 2000 feet away and then transmits them as an RF signal to the remote devices. The 9181 transceiver also accepts RF data packets from these remote devices and sends them upline to the RF controller.

The 9181 has been designed to stand up to tough industrial environments. Its rugged design is matched by the best 900 MHz RF coverage in the industry. Intermec's 900 MHz RF spread spectrum network does not require an FCC or DOC site license.

Intermec 9180 900 MHz Radio Frequency Network Controller
The 9180 network controller connects 900 MHz RF networks to a variety of host computers using asynchronous communications and ASCII protocols. It functions as an intelligent device that controls and monitors all data flowing between the host and up to 64 portable RF devices. Its purpose is to take the data that is collected by the RF end-devices and send it upline to the host computer. It also delivers data received from the host to the end-devices.

The 9180 is part of the Intermec family of 900 MHz RF spread spectrum radio technology products for wireless data communications. This network does not require an FCC or DOC site license.
